Help ACT Spread a Little Sunshine!

According to Spring 2021 survey data, only 57% of students at Mount Anthony Union Middle School (MAUMS) in Bennington feel they matter to the community. 60% of MAUMS students felt sad or hopeless in the last year, and 31% report not having healthy ways to manage stress and worry. In light of this, youth leaders at MAUMS launched the Sunshine Box Project: free take-home activity kits aimed at promoting healthy engagement while supporting youth mental health and substance-use prevention.

Due to the project’s popularity, we are asking for community support to keep this program shining in 2022! Would you sponsor a monthly Sunshine Box for middle school students and help foster community connectedness? Each month is themed: art, creative writing, STEM, self-care activities, resources, and more!

Please help show local youth that they are valued by our wonderful community—it takes a village!
