  • Provides input and support for ATOD activities
  • Development of outreach for ATOD campaigns and programs in the region

2015 -2016 Projects:

  • Develop and implement two Sticker Shock campaign efforts with local retails to discourage social hosting activities (JAN-MAR 2016 & JUL-OCT 2016) *Drug Free Communities Grant Activity
  • Support promotion of the Vermont Department of Health’s Counter Balance campaign regarding product placement of alcohol and tobacco advertising in retail stores. (NOV 2015 – SEPT 2016) *Drug Free Communities Grant Activity
  • Provide input for Mount Anthony Union Middle School and Arlington Memorial on implementation of “Getting to Y” program
  • Provide input on implementation of Sport/Sport 2 evidence-based program for young adolescents (JAN-MAR 2016) *Drug Free Communities Grant Activity
  • Provide coordination and support for Youth Appreciation Day activities (JAN-JUN 2016) *Drug Free Communities Grant Activity
  • Collaborate with Youth Empowerment & Communications Committee on development of recognition of youth and adult community members exhibiting leadership, creating positive change and modeling health choices(JAN-MAR 2016) *Drug Free Communities Grant Activity
  • Review policies for sale of alcohol at public events that detail restrictions of cup ounce size and/or servings allowed (e.g. modify to a specific ounce restriction for beer dispensed into cups and/or dispense maximum of 2-3 drink bracelets per entrant for social events [color coded for over/under 21]). Bracelets are affixed to entrant at ID table and then cut off by alcohol attendant. (JAN-MAR 2016) *Drug Free Communities Grant Activity
  • Develop and implement positive ticketing campaign (JAN-MAR 2016) *Drug Free Communities Grant Activity
  • Develop and implement community code of conduct policy for public events modeled after HAYC3’s to encourage positive behaviors in public settings by community members and visitors (JAN-MAR 2016) *Drug Free Communities Grant Activity
  • Support development or modification of policies within the local government and school systems to address emerging marijuana issues (APR-JUN 2016) *Drug Free Communities Grant Activity
  • Increase patrols of public events by event staff or law enforcement to deter youth from attempting to access/consume alcohol and build positive relationship between police and youth (JUL-OCT 2016) *Drug Free Communities Grant Activity
