PREP (Personal Responsibility Education Program), is a sex ed program designed to provide youth ages 12-19 with knowledge and skills to prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unintended pregnancy.
We use the Making Proud Choices curriculum, an evidence-based, age-appropriate, comprehensive sexuality and reproductive health education program that teaches teens the knowledge, confidence, and skills necessary to reduce their risk of STIs, HIV, and pregnancy.
Program Highlights:
- Learn about both abstinence and contraception as ways to prevent pregnancy and STIs (sexually transmitted infections).
- A welcoming space for all teens, no matter their gender or sexual orientation.
- Learn about consent, healthy relationships, and how to communicate with partners.
- A trauma-informed approach, meaning we recognize different life experiences and focus on safety and respect.
- Interactive and engaging sessions, with discussions, activities, and real-world scenarios.
- Free to participate, and youth earn $125 for completing the program!
