Join the Community Cares Bingo Challenge!

The Collaborative and ACT are partnering to roll out the Community Cares Bingo Challenge, fun and engaging activities for youth that support healthy personal and community asset development and promote National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week.

National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week is an annual week-long health observance that inspires dialogue about the science of drug use and addiction among youth. It provides an opportunity to bring together students, teachers, and community partners to help raise awareness and learn about healthy alternatives.

Youth in Bennington County, Western Windham, Southern Rutland, and Windsor Counties are invited to participate in the Community Cares Bingo Challenge throughout the month of March and explore activities for showing care to yourself and others. The activities are created to support physical, emotional, and mental health as well as community connection. Youth who participate in the Community Cares Bingo Challenge by April 4th will be entered to win one of five $10.00 gift certificates to a local business of their choosing.

Actively practicing self-care and taking positive actions to feel better can make us more resilient, or more able to “bounce back” from challenges and difficult situations. Additionally, community care reminds us that we are stronger and healthier when we are connected to one another. It means asking for help when you need it, and providing support when you are able.
There are many things we can do to take care of ourselves and each other through community care—especially as we enter the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are in this together!
