Saturday, October 14th is Period Action Day, and we’re asking you to join us in making a difference in the lives of Bennington community members in need of period products.
In the U.S., one in four teens has missed school because they did not have access to period products*. There is a young person in your neighborhood right now who cannot afford these essential healthcare items.
The average cost of menstrual products can be $20 or more per monthly cycle. Many individuals in our community have to make tough decisions between buying food or period care products like pads or tampons. When people who menstruate can’t access or afford the products they need to be safe and comfortable, that is called period poverty. And it’s much more common than you may think.
With your help, we can support our youth and families in need. With a $4 donation, you can provide one person with a free period care package.
