Fact Friday: Libraries in Bennington

Fact: There are three, count ’em 3, libraries in Bennington and North Bennington that are open to the public.

They are:

And, they’re really simple to join. Bennington Free Library and Crossett require proof of residency in the area. Bennington Free Library mails you the card after. McCollough will just give you one right on the spot (and, psst there are no late fees at McCullough)

Don’t have time for traditional books? No problem! Libraries in Bennington also offer audio books for readers on the go, e books for those with the app, and DVDs for family movie nights. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, the librarians usually can help you find what you’re looking for.

There’s also usually some really fun things going on at each of these libraries. Be sure to check our calendar or theirs to find out what’s going on.

Bonus fact: The Bennington Free Library also has a feline librarian, too. His name is Pete!
