The Youth Programs Coordinator will facilitate youth prevention programming, health promotion initiatives, and substance-free community events. This position is remote and in-office with youth programming and outreach taking place in school and community settings. 15-20 hours per week (occasional weekend and evening events required).
Pay Rate: $22-24.00/hr
Work Duties:
- Facilitate youth groups, afterschool programs, and special events
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with youth, schools, and community partners
- Supervise student interns, volunteers, and afterschool staff as assigned
- Adhere to project and program budgets
- Attend meetings with grant funders, coalition partners, potential partners as needed
- Collect and track any grant-required paperwork for program reporting and evaluation
- Collect and provide programming write ups and photos to Communications Director for social media, newsletter, and grant reports
- Attend relevant trainings on positive youth development, promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, and substance-use prevention
- Other tasks as assigned by Director
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Familiarity with ACT’s service area
- Organizational and leadership Skills
- Self-starter and team player
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing across a broad spectrum of audiences
- Ability to cultivate and maintain professional relationships
- Ability to work independently
- Computer skills: proficient in use of word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g. Word, Excel, Google)
- Some working knowledge of public health and/or substance use prevention desired
- Experience working with school-aged youth preferred
- Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner representing healthy lifestyles
- Demonstrated commitment to ACT’s mission and success
- Be CPR & First Aid certified, or willing to become so, at employer’s expense.

- Education, experience or training equal to the required knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position
