The Bennington and Hoosick area are currently experiencing what many are calling an epidemic of heroin and prescription drug abuse in our communities.
Join us for this free town hall meeting event to learn more about prevention, recognizing the signs of abuse, medical and social resources that are available.
This discussion is open to parents, students, community members and leaders. This event will feature medical professionals and community leaders to answer questions and present ways to get involved.
Special Feature: A presentation and screening of the music video “Heroes and Heroin” by the MAUHS Quantum Leap program
ACT is a proud sponsor and participant in the Fifth Annual Fight for Air Climb: Bennington Battle Monument event on June 7, 2014. We have formed a team and are already halfway to our fundraising goal! The event goal is monumental…to climb 438 steps to the top of the Bennington Battle Monument to raise funds for the American Lung Association of the Northeast.
All are welcome to join our team or donate towards our goal by clicking here. Volunteers are also needed!
ACT Youth Ambassadors came out to help to prepare the Morgan Spring Community Gardens for the coming season as a part of 2014 Global Youth Service Day. Most of the harvest from the garden is donated in support of local food banks throughout the area!

ACT at the Bennington Museum: Festival of Trees
ACT is thrilled to participate once again in this year’s Festival of Trees celebration at the Bennington Museum. The theme for this year’s festival is “Hidden Gems” so we are building on the theme to highlight geocaching as a way to explore our natural resources of parks, trails and more. We love how family friendly and FREE geocaching can be! We are having a blast preparing our tree and display this week. Stay tuned for more pics and exhibit info!
